Hey I have been buildin my sump/fuge for a week now and i cant get the last chamber to seal. theres always a small drip when i fill up the bubble trap chamber coming out of the very bottom but my question is can i go ahead and leave and it would work?? or does it have to be sealed up 100%??
thanx guys

idk if I would take the chance with it, it's just a drip now but once it has all the water pressure that will be going through your sump, overtime it might weaken that area and give you more problems.
how much silicone did you use? maybe just put a nice glob on the spot and smooth it out.

Yeah i have been trying to get it sealed for a week now. i had too strip all the silicone back up and reseal it and i used a whole gun on one bead i really caked it on and still leaks(slow drip)

It leaks out of the bottom on the last baffle in the return section..I filled it up last night and ran a pump in it and everything seemed fine the water level stayed consistant.what should i do??

I would just be worried about what the water pressure will do over time. if it's just a small drip then do what you feel is best. fixing a sump is pretty easy if anything did happen down the road so just do what your comfortable with.

My leak was on the bottom of the actual sump....we smeared this stuff on it...with the water in tank...it hardened...and all is well (knockin on wood..lol)

don't smack your head too hard.

IMO a small leak between chambers within the sump itself is not going to be a problem, as long as the baffles are structurally sound, you'll be okay.
