Sump noises help please!!

I just bought a 72 gallon bow front tank used and we had to do a complete start over due to nitrates. My sumo is making gurgling noises where it wasn't b4. We have tried more water...then less water...moving the flow valves...please help can someone tell me what is going on....%

is it jam sometimes the impeller need cleaning there also be a small broken part.

Sorry I am new at this I might not be talking about the correct part...where the water flows down to the big filter bag under the stand. It sounds like it has a water bubble in it but we have tried to straighten the hose....etc...hose is too big to have something jammed in.I think....could that still be the prob. tho...

when I made my drain hose to short it did something like this. I returned the hose to its normal length and it went away. I try to keep the hoses under water and this helps with noise as well.
