Sump Overflow And Return Questions??

I was thinking the mag 7, rated up to 700 gph for the return and the Marineland tidepool overflow box rated up to 600gph, used along with an asm skimmer with a Sedra 2000 pump that is rated for a 75 gallon aquarium. Does that sound ok FOR A 55 g DT with a 29 g sump. I'm not sure of the water volume that will be in the sump. The plumbing to and from the dt will have to travel at least 3 feet, probably a little over, not sure yet.

Yes, it will work. I have the Mag 7 with the tidepool overflow on my 75 gallon and it is perfect. I did put a tiny hole in the return tubing slightly below the water line so that if the power goes out, the siphon will be broken as soon as the water level goes down slightly. This prevents any overflow and is the easiest way to handle that concern.
