Sump Question

Can i get some answers from people using sumps and external pumps ,
the question is are u using one of those black plastic screens at the intake of your pump ? or are u running without a screen

I use the plastic screen....don't know why, but I do.

use the screen. I dont know why either. I guess i might as well leave it there, just in case something accidentally falls into my sump
