sump/refugim

I have a 125 gal and want to build a sump/refugium for it. I need to know how big it should be and if someone has the blue prints or dimension for one. Also need to know how it works so I have an understanding of it. Please help. Thanks.

i have a 20 gallon long on my 90 gallon. some say its small but works fine for me. so go based off that. maybe a 55gallon since they are long would be good for your tank.
