I know I started this under another thread..but I figured I would get the best help here.
So I have decided to buy all the makings for a sump/refugium. I am making small improvements one step at a time because I am short for cash.
So far I have done this...
I know I want a 20 gallon long tank. Went to the LFS and got measurements/pricing. 30.25 x 12.5 and on sale for $25.60. WHOO HOOO! I like sales. Went on ahead and purchased it.
I went on ahead and bought egg crate for the top of my tank, since eventually I will be updating my lights and hanging them from the ceiling.
Even though I have been looking at different websites at designs..I still can't figure out which one I like the best. I do want something easy..but something that will last. Should I purchase my skimmer first before building the sump/refugium? And what are some brand names for skimmers that work well?
