Sump Return and other goodies

I am going to get a sump setup, I will have a 600gph overflow, it think, and I want the return in 2 places at least, is it best to use several small pumps or some sort of branching return? any ideas would be swell, I think the branching would be best, but I'm not sure how to set it up, thanks for any help!

Josh,
I'm thinking about doing the same with my 55 & sump.
If you use one main pump - only one pump you will have to maintain - and you could tee off the main line with pvc fittings - and run to return/spraybars etc.
Just make sure your main return pump will not flow more than your overflow is able to handle and you'll be fine.
On other hand - using say 2 return pumps eliminates the need for the branch tee, you will have one more pump to clean and maintain. But on the plus side of this scenerio - if one of them fails, you still have the other one to keep things going until you repair or replace the bad one.
I'm going to use 1 return pump and do the pvc branch deal.
Hope this helps a little and good luck.
Brian
