hey all..i have an older a miracle acrylic sump..its tight on space for me on my 90 gallon tank. water comes down into a small area with rubble LR in it..then over the first wall,onto a filter pad and then drips through a drip tray...then more rubble rock. then finally goes under to the last area and gets pumped back up into my tank. its quite tight , i just have a crappy prizm skimmer hangin on the back of where the water comes down. im looking to upgrade to a nice skimmer now but im not sure what to do. buy another hang on and let it hang on the end again? or do i take the filter pad out/drip tray/rubble rock out of the middle are and just put the skimmer there? should i cut the drip tray down so it atleast keeps a filter pad ? like cut it in half? just kindave un sure what to do..i know many people dont run filter pads at all but it sure seems to catch alot of stuff? thanks ..im looking at an aqua medic turbo flotor 1000 or multi to hang on if i cant fit it in my sump..
