sump

just got sump and over flow where do i drill the hole to stop sump from flooding incase of power loss? how big should the hole be? sorry for the question tried searching but search isnt working

1/8 inch hole on the top of the 90 thats what i did and it works good

is the hole on the return to the tank or from the tank

amazing has only been a few hours after setting up sump water already looks more clear... so i took the bio-wheeles of old filter and put into sump was wondering how long to wait until i can add new fish?

checked last week everything tested good was going to check tomorrow after sump has run for 24hrs

when i added my sump and took off the bio wheels out of the HOB filter, I saw an ammonia spike for a few days, just shows that them bio wheels do work

It's kind of funny because they do and don't work. Biowheels actually create some nitrate. Anyways

If you keep up maintence on them there is no reason to remove them. More filtration is always better.
