Sun bleached coral

Hi, Can real coral that has been sun dried, and is now dead, be used in a SW tank?

it won't stay nice and white though.......but no problems as long as no chemicals were used to clean it, just the sun as you said.

yes just wash it well in fresh water before adding it to your tank.

OK Thanks for the answers. I didnt know that even though the coral is dead but once live, if calcium or other minerals could leach out into the water or once its dead, its DEAD!

True live rock is nothing more than dead corals... it will be fine... make sure there is no flesh left on the coral... boiling it in water will remove any flesh and anything else that may still be on the coral.
