Sun coral and green/red brain help

I have a 12 gallon nano with a sun coral, star polyp, and a brain. They don't look healthy anymore but I have not been doing anything different. The sun coral doesn't really bloom like it should after I feed the tank, the brain looks as if it has shriveled and he doesn't feed at night by the looks of things. Also, the polyps don't bloom. All water measurements are right: 0,0,0, 8.2. For now, I take my water to the LFS to test for calcium, alkalinity and was told to cut back on adding the buffers. Besides what I have listed, I also have in the tank: 2 clowns, 1 royal gramma, cleaner fish, tiger sea cucumber, snails, crabs.
Any suggestions on what is going on?

What has the LFS told you about your Calc and Alk besides cut back on supps? How much were you dosing originally?

I have tried to attach a picture but it won't let me. And I tried to configure my camera; any suggestions on that? In the beginning the LFS said to just worry about the usual tests because the tank is fairly new (set up October 25th or something). A month ago or so I brought him a water sample and he said it tested a little high and to cut back adding the buffers so I did. I originally added the buffers (3ml) about 2 times every two weeks (remember this is a 12 gallon nano). So now I add a little less often. I would have him sample my water again but he is closed until Monday. I'd say my problem has been a problem for about a week and a half. I know the stereotypes of the LFS's but I honestly trust mine and have a great relationship. I have known him, been in his fish store for 7 years or so. I also know this might not sound right in many message board members' opinions, but I feel whatever he says is word coming out the fishkeeping bible. I just can't get ahold of him with my schedule or his (glad the holidays are almost over.)
I can e-mail pictures but i just can't figure out how to post.
