Sun Coral not healthy?

I have a sun coral that i have have for about a month. It is yellow and about the size of a fist. Just today i noticed that its exoskeleton is starting to turn white on some of the polyps. Does anyone know what this is? please reply i dont want anything to happen to it. you can also email me at fisherman228@bellsouth.net, because i am also looking for a return pump, and a 48" lighting system, thanks.

Are you feeding it? Is it being hit by intense lighting?

ill post a pick and also it is only about 1.5 watts to the gallon. and i feed it brine shrimp at least three to four times a week.

im putting a cup over it w/ a hole drilled in it and then squirting the food through the hole.

If you are doing that with photoplankton a couple times a week or more, I would think it would be fine. Did you try another type of food? Is it in bright lighting? I hear it likes quite a bit of water movement.

They need to be fed daily in my opinion. Each individual poly must be spot fed.
