When a sun coral has its polyps fully extended, does that mean its hungry, happy, both, neither? any opinions

A little of both if it's not happy or dying it will not extend the polyps, but it extends the polyps to feed

How do you know when they are "full" i guess is my question. Mine are fully extended, then i feed and they are fully extended 15-20 minutes later. Are they still hungry or happy from the feeding?

how often do you feed it, and is there any tissue loss, if they open all the time and theres no tissue loss your doing fine

Theres zero tissue loss but i wanna make sure its getting enough food. Its an AMAZING piece, one of the nicest ive ever seen so i wanna make sure it thrives. I feed every night but can only get it to eat frozen cyclopeeze, nothing meaty. I feed it every night about 1/8 teaspoon of frozen cyclo mixed in tankwater, not sure if thats enough. Like i said, theres about 100 heads, 30 big ones, 40 medium and 30 realsmall ones, so thats alot of headsd to feed!
actually, i was wrong, i did get it to eat a little frozen krill, but its impossible to get every head fed that way, with the cyclo i can flood the cup over it with food.

Sounds like your doing great, if you ever see tissue loss or it stops opening somethings wrong but I wouldn't be worried, heres a piture of one with tissue loss, you can see in between the heads there is no tissue

But how do i know its full or getting enough? I dont wanna wait till its losing tissue. Would i be right to say that it wouldnt eat if it was full? or would it still eat and either spit it out later when im not watching or get"sick" from eating too much? If its eating is it still hungry?
