Sun coral with my water quality

My tank just finished going through a mini cycle because I lost almost everything because my ammonia got to high. I lost my tang while I was on vacation and it sat there and deteriorated in the tank and I thing that is what caused it. But, I am wondering if I can put Sun Coral into my tank if my nitrates are at 25? Phosphate and ammonia are 0. The only thing in my tank right now are seven small hermit crabs and a few snails. I know they require a lot of work and have to be fed a lot, and I am willing to take care of it.

To introduce any coral right now with your nitrates so high would not be a real smart idea:cool: . If anything at all you should wait for your tank to become stable again i.e. Trates,Phos and Ammonia are at very low levels or almost non-existent. Also sun corals a non-photosynthetic so they would come out during your night cycle to feed. You have to have a lot of patients in this hobby as well as do a lot of research or you will have poor results with your tank.
Good Luck

I have done research on them and I couldn't find anything about if they were tolerant of nitrates or not. I didn't think 20 for nitrates was very high. That is what someone told me anyway. I know most corals require very low nitrates. I have had my tank set up for about five months now and I have learned a lot since I have been reading in the forums on here and have corrected a lot of problems that I had. I have to be patient I guess until I get rid of this nitrate problem. Well thanks. :D
