Sun Coral

I got a sun coral for trade for a urchin and a couple crabs, with the warning that it wasn't doing too well. I saw that website where someone took care of one and brought it back to life and decided to accept a challenge. Plus i read a couple other websites explaining how different they are from normal corals yet how beautiful they can be.
I put it in my tank yesterday, today 8 of the 12 polyps are open, chowing down on mysis shrimp :) anyone have any other advice on keeping sun corals? I have it in a cave in my lr, very little light gets to it just like websites say to do, and its away from anything i think it may attack.

its a good sign they have opened up. and you have it in a good spot if its in a cave. i have one, and its not too difficult, i got lucky i guess. most will say to spot feed it. i just dissolve a frozen cube of rotifers at the top of the tank using the high flow right out of return line to break it up. i think the flow stream winds up bringing it right to where the coral is. because within minutes...it is all opened up. good luck with it. sound like a good start, they are pretty.

cool. watching my flake food i did put it in a good location since a lot of it goes right through this cave to the back of the tank. thanks :)
