nolon, aye i was going to mvoe when my lease ran out in may, but due to a rash of sucess with great water quality and thriving critters, i have decided to stay in this tiny apartment another year so as not to waste this grow out time. trying to frag off my machine gun xenia (lovingly named for their near maniacal pulsing) to get some store credit to work on getting some halide over half of my tank for the beasties that like more lumens.
and yes WE DEMAND pics of a black sun coral... man doesnt the name just set you off?
visitor_07: "what is that! thats the coolest freaking thing i've ever seen?"
owner_01: "why thats my black sun coral, badass aint it?"
visitor_07: "OMG here is like 50 bucks thanks for letting me look at it etc.!"

At my lfs, they had a black one and a orange one, but they were both to big for my tank so im waiting for them to get a smaller one in.

light has no benifits, so you can put them in total darkness, they like alot of water movement so they can catch food. I feed bloodworms thru a turkey baster with pumps off, this way gets at least 4 or 5 bloodworms to each polyp. You can even feed silversides or krill almost whole.

I have both black and orange. They are beautiful corals well worth the time it takes to train them to feed. Here is a pic of my orange ones feeding.
