Just another question for ya. Do you fragg your sps and if so do you add anthing after like strot or idione??

i have fragged my sps but not many times.... most my pieces are still smaller then i want b4 i start fraggin but if someone local ask sometimes ill give a piece here and now...
as far as adding anything to the water after i dont....
all i run is my Ca reactor and it works really good at keeping things stable as far as the CA, Mg, and Alk go
ive never checked my iodine or strontium levels i just assume they are fine when i do my water changes

thanks. I just fragged on of my big sps on trade for part of the halides for my new tank and was wondering that.. Hate to bug you again but what kind of ca reactor do you run? I want to run one but everybody has so much trouble adjusting them constanlty. (last question I promise)

i run a "MRC-CR2" calcium reactor....
its a My Reef Creations.... hold about 14lbs of reactor media and its 2 chambers .... for larger tanks....
it works great IMO
so much easier then dosing or dripping Kalk
yeah u have to play with it for a lil to get things going at the rate u need but after that its pretty simple.... maybe test once a week or less then adjust from there....
as of right now my alk is at 8.3 dkh and my Ca is 400
i have a 10lb CO2 bottle and it last about 6 months on my tank
i have no complaints about this brand reactor its quality made and affordable i think for everything the reactor the media the feed pump the recirculation pump the Ph monitor the solenoid and bubble counter and the CO2 tank it cost me around $650-700 but well worth it especialy if ur gettin tino sps in a larger system... otehrwise dosing will end up costing a ton more and be such a headache with the constant testing

i dont know if u remember a while back I asked you about the fuzzy lion dwarf in a reef tank and you did influence me to buy it...he was not really eating nothing else but live feeder fish but eventually he died because he wouldnt not eat nothing else (vitamins, and such) but my reef will come around with the new lighting..thanks for being a good influence once again!

no those are yellow polyps.... almost as bad as apstasia IMO but they look nicer lol
they gros like freakin weeds and have spread onto my rock works and such.....
that and GSP are bad news hard to get them outta ur tank once they are in it!

GSP is green star polyps....
that stuff that grows on a purple matt and has flourescent stars that come out in the light... bad stuff IMO nice lookin begginer coral but can over take your rock work and mess with other corals
Scarface... yeah i have the center MH come on for 9 hours and the 2 side ones come on for 7 hours....
that way first MH on then an hour later the other 2 on then 7 hours later those 2 turn off then an hour later those 2 turn off
