Hey NM nice pics I love how colorfull it looks. Did you DSB get like that from powerhead water movement. Mine is a little wavy but not like that.

Looking good, I too have a clown, a maroon, that takes care of the landscaping :) Why do you have flex connected to the powerheads?

Adrian....the lines feed thru the wall behind the display to my refugium.....at least until I develope a larger system with closed loop circulation and built in overflows for the refugium.

Raven....its a 55 gal system...100lbs LR & assorted sands about 6" deep...approximate 50 gal refugium is the only other filtration. Refugium is about 100 GPH in flow and I have several power heads behind/inside the rock to turn the water over about 8 times per hour.Lighting is 4x65 watts of 10k CSL PC's & 2x110 watts of URI 03 actinic VHO's. Just a little past the 18 month mark...so its still a infant.

Raven...thanks for the words and keep after yours.......we are all learning as we go....takes time/patience/desire......I'm learning what I need to develope a larger more compact system. In time it'll happen.......

Looks great NM reef! You still have the three sand hills in your dsb(although they're a little smaller now), I guess your clown likes it that way. :D

Thanks for all the positive comments folks.....sometimes it gets old just checking the board and answering questions. I think once in a while a "look at this" thread is fun and can be just as helpful as question/answer type threads. Maybe next time I'll try to post a pic or 2 of a few of my newest additions.........I just added a very nice sized GSP colony. Its a rock about the size of a baseball and its covered in GSP's.Even better yet....maybe next Sunday we can get a peek at somebody elses system.........I like to taste eye-candy myself!!!It is nice to be able tosee the systems ya'all are putting together and I really enjoy being able to post pics of mine.

What are you doing to keep that sandbed so cleaned up and pristine white?

Critters & bugs & snails & crabs & stuff.....assorted snails(30-40 plus babies)...assorted crabs(20 blue leg/20 scarlet/3 emeralds...worms that simply cannot be counted...pods that are replenishied from the refugium. Diversity is vital in my opinion....despite those that swear crabs&bugs&worms are problems....they all work in my system.......clean and diverse!!!!

Do you know what kind of worms you have, besides the standard puple/pink bristle? Also, what snails are you using?
