I got a 20" 150w Sunpod for my 29 Biocube to upgrade the lighting from stock (36w 10,000k daylight pc bulb and 36w actinic bulb). I have to say I am severely disappointed. It looks significantly dimmer than my stock lights which were actually even old bulbs that needed replacing. My sebae anemone and even lower light mushroom corals are scrunched up and seem to be doing worse under this light than the other lights. Everything with the light (the Sunpod) is functioning correctly, it just seems that I made a wrong choice. Now the question is what to do from here. Here's where my friends on Saltwaterfish.com come in. What should I do?
I could:
A: Return the Sunpod and just try new bulbs in my hood.
B: Keep the Sunpod and also purchase an Orbit compact fluorescent fixture (20"/2x40w)
or
C: return the Sunpod and try to mod my hood with a DIY kit from nanotuners.
D: Return the Sunpod and get 2 of the Orbit PC fixures
What do you think? Thanks
