I didn't realize they had a 16.5", so maybe they added that to the product line after I bought mine. Since I had never seen it before, I did some searching and I do see it listed on Current's website. However, I have not seen it for sale in any catalogs or online so I imagine it would be a special order.
Since the bulb is centered in the middle of the fixture, it really wouldn't matter if the fixture itself was a bit wider than the tank. 70w on a 6 gal. would be unreal. ***)
