I've heard of people doing it but I couldn't verify it would be safe.
I tried some "reef safe" glue I bought online and it didn't bond well at all and my xenia was damaged after using it.

I would imagine that super glue is reef safe. I used it to close a puncture in my hand (required 8 stitches later). It didnt bamage my drain or anything so I think it'd be ok to use in a tank :)

I think the trick is to get it to stick. Once you get that to work the next trick is to get the live rock unstuck from your hand. :)

I use Quicktite by Locktight (gel super glue) to secure all of my sps frags and even some of my soft frags. I believe that as long as it is cyanoacrylate it is reef safe. I prefer the gel super glue style because it sets up easier and it doesn't have blobs that break off and float to the surface like regular liquid super glue when adding the coral to the tank!!

I picked up some of the today and it works great. Just dry off your stuff as much as you can and it should stick. I did my Hydnophora since it started to die off on the bottom I have about 15 frags now. Oh I also stuck my finger to the LR:rolleyes: LOL.
