Lax, not top difficult to contact a moderator and not difficult at all to ban people for disrupting the forum.
There are some knowledgeable and helpful people on this forum, and, perhaps, if you were not quite so stubborn, you might become one of them. Not the case at this point.
I suggest you tone down your reactions here and perhaps more listeninng rather than ranting.

LAX I dont know if Beth looked at the posts you deleted on your own but I am going to tell you one more time with those type of derogatory and disrespectful comments that you posted it will result in you being put on the ban pile period. this is the only warning that you will get on this one. we do not and will not tolerate that type of posting from anyone!!!!!
Have a great day.

I am sooo.. so... sad right now.... I want everyone to be nice and learn. Saying that a person is "so ignorant", even if they are, is not helping, in my opinion.

i really wish people would just look at the pictures i took instead of debating how good of a hobbyist i am.

What I think the sad thing is...is that more people seem to respond to this sort of banter then they do for the people seriously looking for help. I've had this post on FISH DISCUSSION trying to fine tune my fish list now that I finally got my QT set up and the cycle started and it gets quickly pushed to page 2. https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/t/272093/fish-list-for-65g-fowlr. Seems like people prefer the drama.

But people aren't trying to put you down, they are trying to help you prevent a problem. And you don't care. You don't even respond. So yes, they are discouraging you...from making too many mistakes.
They can't just look at the pictures, and not see the problems.

You have quite a few responses there (21 posts...pretty good). I am not sure why you think people aren't answering? Fish lists, in many ways, are very personal, so - don't take this the wrong way - only keep general interest for awhile. Start a thread about the particular fish you may be interested in. It is just the nature of things and not personal.

i am reading what they say, but they dont have to rub in my face that all my fish will die because i have no clue what i am doing. I do have a clue, maybe saltwater fish arent the only thing i care about but i do care and i feel that what i am doing is just fine.
DO NOT PUT ANYMORE REPLIES ANYONE!!!!!

well the reason it gets all the mods attention is that if any hits the report bad post feature we all get an email to take a look at it. so at some point each mod will take a look at every post that is reported to make sure it was takin care of.
lax in this hobby there are to many people that wont take the advice of hobbiest that have been there done that. I am one of them I am willing to help anyone out and not banter them for there descsions but when some one is told "you need to slow down." " that is to many fish to fast" " you are groslely over stocked" and all we get is the deragotory disrespectful posts like you posted in this thread along with that we are people that are not out for your money or trying to sell you anything dont give you the answers that you want to hear or what your LFS told you - you get mad about it and start the degrading remarks.
If you start playing nice and acting like you want these answers truly you will find that more people will be willing to help you out.
estein02 unfortuneatly some posts get passed up not on purpose but with everyday life sometimes posts get overlooked or if the only thing we could have added has already been said then people wont post because its already been said.

Well then, I must say that those are good looking pictures.
You are starting this hobby, which is a fun one, and you have a good looking tank. I believe that as you learn, over time, your tank will come through. It's not too late. So just read, learn, and have fun!

No offense MichaelTX, but I have taken the advice of others and made some changes to my list. Some of the changes I made I'm not certain about so I'm looking for help. Also, with all of the posts on this message board I'm sure that there is nothing that has not already been discussed, but I, and I'm sure a lot of others don't, have enough hours in the day to do the things we have to do, let alone the things we want to do. Believe me, I have received some help and am very appreciative of it, but when you see all these people posting to someone who doesn't listen it kinda ticks me off.

Dogs live longer and people usually have 1 or 2 so i can see getting a connection with a dog.
It is interesting that you would say this, because just last night I was thinking how wrong of a practice this is. My exact example was going to be, you don't get a puppy from the pound and give it back when it grows into a dog.
FYI Yes some fish do live as long, or longer, than dogs.

14 of those 21 are my own...so I really only had 7 responses. Guess you didn't read it either
