lol clown gobies are the shiz.... there very finicky eaters though. i would go with a mandarin.. it would be easy to feed in a 5.5 assuming you give lots of pods.. but mandarin with a rin garden would be sweet. ric garden can get kind of pricey but in the long run sicknesss. good luck.

and then um pretty sure this pic is of some snail poop and if so what should i get to get rid of this stuff because it is fast accumulating all over the bottom of my tank...

I don't think I've ever seen snail poop. Looks like fish poop to me.
And I never thought I would say this, but I think you tank is too small for that chromis lol. Too big of a bio-load imo, you'll be battling algae down the line.

he is not gonna stay in there and i dont think its too big because he is maybe 3/4 of an inch right now... i can get them from a wholesaler for 3 dollars so i bought one to throw in there while i waited for them to get in a molly miller and a clown goby and i'm fairly sure its not fish poop because i dont feed that little guy enough to produce that much waste and that is just one spot in the tank... its all over

A great addition to a 5.5 gallon IMO is a pair of green banded gobies (Gobiosoma multifasciatum) if you can get a mated pair they will spawn in this tank too. S e x i n g is quite easy since the male has a larger head and a longer first dorsal ray than the female.

One of the smaller conch's could take care of that detritus.
That goby looks awesome! Look for those guys, or yasha, or black ray (yellow head), and you could get a pistol shrimp.
I don't know how pistols would do with sexies, but they sound peaceful.

Nope, and remember keep sexies in odd numbers. 3 seems to be the quantity.

so i think im gonna need to add a powerhead of some kind... i like the Hydor Koralia Nano but it puts out a whopping 265 GPH for my little tank... i think that might be too much how about you guys what do you think and if it is to much how many gph shouldi shoot for?

The good thing about Koralia's is the broad flow. If you were to put an mj1200 next to the K-nano you might not even feel the nano in comparison.
Get the nano, you'll love it. You might be able to get away with a K-1 but that might be risking a sand storm. Better to be safe than sorry.
Man, you are making me want to set up my old 5.5 again.

and i think i will get that nano powerhead and does anyone know of a good nano skimmer that i could place in the tank... (i am gonna switch to a aquaclear 110 and gutt it and make it into a hang on back fuge!!) so i could probally place the skimmer in the back also...

Biocube makes one for their tanks and I think Tunze has a small one. I've never looked into them though.
With this small of a tank water changes are a breeze so I wouldn't complicate things with a skimmer. You'll have the fuge that should be enough. Save the money and buy corals.

good point about the water changes... and i think i am going to go with the hydor koralia nano and if it is moving to much water for the little tank i will just put it into my 12 gallon qt then buy a smaller pump instead
