Really? I speak a fair amount of spanish, and when people said porque I never knew what it meant, so I put it in a translater and it said no match found. I didn't realize it was por que instead of porque.

No I mean there are two ways to say it:
~porque with no space and no question mark = because
~por que with a space and usually a question mark = why?

I work on nothing but Japan products and work with our Japan coworkers every day. I also work in a deparment with a lot of Chinese, some Taiwanese, one Jamaican and one Korean. None of their Engwish (sorry couldn't resist) is great but they have to speak it well enough to work in my company. My ears have become accustomed to what most of them are saying with no problems.

Nope, not at all. I actually agree with this thread completely. My grandfather and his family came to the United States LEGALLY from Mexico, learned English, and made a life for themselves. They all got jobs and became productive American citizens. This is why i do not agree with all the people who want all these rights for the illegal aliens. It has been proven to me first hand that you CAN make a life here for yourself if you do it the right way. Its simple, if you want to live here, adjust to the American laws and culture.

All my ancestors are Scottish. They came to America as indentured servants to avoid jail in Scotland for being cattle thieves.
Oddly enough I have never felt it neccessary to seek restitution or apology for their poor treatment and servitude. They paid their dues and became citizens, I'm proud of them.
