Hello,
I was about to purchase a 150 gallon reef tank setup this week for my living room when it dawned on me that my living room may not be the best place for the tank because I have a seven speaker surround sound home entertainment center in the room. I know that lound noises can stress the fish but am I being too concerned over this matter?
My local fish store said not to worry but I am. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

yes fish have ears. actually called "otoliths" essentially free-floating bones within their head.
more exactly:
An otolith
, (oto-, ear + lithos, a stone) or otoconium is a structure in the saccule or utricle of the inner ear. It is comprised of a combination of a gelatinous matrix and calcium carbonate crystals. Otolith crystals are relatively dense and heavy - they are connected to the rest of the body by the sensory processes of the macular cells. In fish, otoliths can be used for age determination, showing rings of different growth summer/winter, like tree rings.
