SWCD Squid

Has anyone heard about or even used the new SCWD (Switching Current Water Director) pronounced "Squid"? Came across it online. A web search pulls up a personal site of someone who has installed one on a Mag7 and seems to like it so far. Basically a t-valve that switches flow from one side to the other without electricity. The person with the Mag7 is reporting a cycle ever 15 seconds. The thing retails for under $50! I think I'm going to try it.

The company that makes it 3iQVentures.com can not be found online. Unknown whether they are just having server problems or what. Doesn't give me a warm fuzzy though. Apperantly the device cuts flow by 20%, a pretty big cut. That would mean on my 29G I would only be getting 400gph instaed of 500. I'll have to kick this around, I don't know if I want to spend the money on a MAG 9.5.

l, there is a 4 page topic on it. It uses 3/4" inlets thus the reduction. It can handle up 1200gph. Alot of people are picking them up for about $42. ---- is starting to carry them. I have heard only good things about them. I am going to be getting one as soon as I setup the sump. Unfortunately I don't have a overflow yet (wish you were still making them hint hint).

Alright Pyro.... alright, but I swear to God this is the last one. I just don't have the time to make anymore. Not to mention my other hobby business is getting orders now too. Email me.

I did get it on E-bay but the guy(displaycollectables) selling them is a slow shipper but it is here now. I still have to get a bigger pump I want to get a mag 9 to use one it. in the book it says the bigger the pump the faster it Switches.
