Here are the issues you need to correct for your tank:
-Your alk and nitrates are much too high (alk = 143-214, nitrates < 20-30)
-You need some powerheads (MaxiJet or AquaClear)
-You definitely need a skimmer (Excalibur, Coralife, AquaC)
-Your tank is tremendously overstocked
-You should definitely remove the air line and just use powerheads
I did not read the entire post, but I am sure Sepulation has helped you quite well. :happyfish

thanks for the info. A lot to learn. I'll get the one day. Now I need good reference material and books to read so I don't kill anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look no further than my Bible - The Conscientious Marine Aquarist by Robert Fenner. Then, pick up the 500 Essential-to-Know Marine Fish by Scott Michael.

A great book is the Conscientious Marine Aquarist by Robert Fenner I own it and refer to it quite often
We all have a lot to learn. I learn something new each day!!!
