The Acan Hillae coral, Acanthastrea hillae, also known as the Bowerbanki coral, is a rare large polyp stony coral. This species is found infrequently in both the wild and the aquarium trade. It is easy to keep in an aquarium, fast growing, and grows best under moderate lighting. The Acan Hillae is often intensely colored with a mosaic of blues, reds, yellows, greens, purples, and oranges - a truly beautiful coral. Its soft tissue often looks almost splattered with color, like a Jackson Pollock painting. This coral will accept mysis and brine shrimp, and the more it is fed the faster it will grow.
