SWF or LFS?

Ok, is ANYONE buying fish from a LFS any more? :notsure: Unless I just fall in love with something (like the weimereiner recently), I'll just buy it on line for 1/2 the price!

This site really kicks butt! I'm not just kissing a$$, but I don't know if I'll ever buy another fish at a store again!
Thanks SWF!

At my LFS, the corals are all much cheaper than online, equipment is a little more expensive, and I haven't bought any fish yet. I am trying to get captive raised ones. I still like all my LFS.
Is the price the only reason why you don't buy fish from your LFS, or also because the fish might not be healthy?

I totally agree. My corals are about the same price, but the fish are 1/2 the cost. Wait until you go to throw some fish in . .. :jumping:

But if you have a good and healthy source for fish it may be worth it to buy local. Transit time in the baggie is significantly less if you buy local, and so less stress to the fish, less chance of disease advantaged by stress.

I worked at a LFS and after all of the different holding places and the average LFS store worker there is a whole lot less stress buying online. Almost every online vender has a guarantee where as very few LFS have guarrentees. I have bought from both and online all the way for me.
