SWF order delayed due to Fedex

I ordered from SWF yesterday and order is stuck in Memphis and won't be to Connectcit till tomorrow. To make matters worse I won't be able to put stuff in tank till late afternoon.
I ordered a watchman goby, clean up crews, royal gramma, deresa clam, orange sponge.
I spoke with SWF and they will make good on anything that dies which is great.
What are the chances that they stay alive ? And if so does this put a lot of stress on them and cut down on their life expectancy ? thanks

Hard to tell what the chances are....a lot depends on how cold the package gets.
I have had this happen also :( I will tell you that SWF promptly credited any losses

Thanks, I just hate to see them die, just a waste of life.
SWF is absolutely the best place to deal with. I only buy from them.

It all depends on how cold things get. Memphis is supposed to go into the mid to upper 40's tonight :-(
good luck!
At least you ordered from here, they'll make good on anything you loose. Stupid FedEx.

It arrived in Newark, NJ last night. I just called Fedex again. It looks like it is still in NJ. They put in a request for status and they are calling me back.
Unfortunetly I don't have a quarantine tank but I can't see anything surviving.
Good thing I ordered from SWF. They also called me last night to check on it. I only order from SWF

It seems as though Fed ex in Memphis is messing up lately. Someone else had the same issues with the shipment getting stuck there.

YEAH...we need an update
this time of year I see this a lot in Memphis.....if it's not the snow or ice, they have a lot of fog issues

I did find out last year though, that when they are very busy..they just toss packages on the transfer planes....they do not look at them to see if they are livestock or perishable
it's first come first serve..REGARDLESS...when they told me that I was SOOOOOOO MAD!! I called them murderers

Fedex is reporting a much heavier volume this year. They also are having issues with one of the major hubs. There has been severe weather in some areas.
Saltwaterfish stands behind the guarantee and will be addressing any customer who has been affected by these delays.
Please follow the policy for prompt attention to your claim.
We regret to hear of the loss of these lives because of the delays but we will be doing our best to respond to each claim in a timely manner.
Please feel free to pm me personally if you have questions, need clarification or have any concerns.

Thanks SWFishy, please don't think that I started this thread to complain about SWF because I know it wasn't your fault.
I have been in contact with SWF and they are great. They already closed my claim and will be refunding me. If the sponge doesn't make it I will have to file a claim for that as well.
I HIGHLY recommend SWF. They have been very prompt with their e-mails and very coopertive.
It finaly made it to CT this morning. The water was 48 degrees. Surprisingly the orange frilly sponge looks like it survived.

Yeah this probably isn't the best time of the year to order something if you live in a cold area. Not only may the shipment be delayed due to unforeseen weather but internet sales are like crazy up thos year which means heavy volume for the parcel carriers.
