swf water?

Stupid question for the day - why are you not supposed to add the water in the bag to your aquarium when you order from swf? Does it have chemicals in it?

There is a risk of introducing disease etc to your tank.

I would not add the water from the shipment bag to the tank.
The bag has been through at least a day of shipment without filtration... there would be too much junk to just dump into your tank (IMO).
It isn't that hard to not use the water in the bag so why take the risk that something may happen?

Wasn't planning on doing it, lol, I was just curious as to why since when you get a fw fish you just add water to the bag and then dump the whole bag in. Trying to learn all I can!
