Looks good, maybe put your powerhead on the other side of the tank, that should give you a little random flow with the return outlet being on the opposite side.
Tank is coming along, great job

That's what we are here for. I actually used to run my koralia on the same side as my return, like your pic shows. I switched it to the other side recently, and it is pretty turbulent in there. Not so much that the fish have trouble swimming, but enough that my torch and star polyps are always swaying randomly in the flow. It should also help to eliminate dead spots.

sweet, thanks! oh yeah im having a problem with stuff at the top of the water and it not going into the filter. if i dont skim the top it looks like a puddle of water with oil in it (like in a parkinglot). i recently got the oceanic biocube protein skimmer but that thing was total crap so i returned it. any suggestions on a smaller one for the 14g biocube? thanks!

Nah they pretty much all are useless, IMO. I would point your return up towards the surface of the water to break that film.

Hey guys! It's been quite a while since i've given an update on my tank. As you know I've only had it since about august but things are going quite well for it. I've had a few new additions to the tank since I last posted in october....
Bi-Color Blenny
Frogspawn (lights up a really cool blue and yellow with the moon light on)
Scarlet Reef Hermit Crab
Black Percula Clown Fish (died unfortunately, my other clown really didn't like him
)
Sand Drifting Star
Well Heres a Pic...

As you can see in some of my previous posts, the xenia was all just in one spot, but wow has it gotten huge and moved around. Also my leather coral was looking like a tiny piece of crap, once again thats gotten much bigger and much healthier looking. My only problem... Those brown anemones have been taking over, so much that they were growing on one patch of rock that xenia was and ended up killing it, so i had to just toss the whole thing. But other than that, things are going great for my nano
thanks for stopping by!
