switching from 20 k to 14k or 10k?

i have a 400 watts mh with 20 k corals are growing i love the color but i planning to start sps soon with lots of clams i supplement it with 260 watts actinic what do you guys think?

I have 2x250mh 20k & 1x400mh 20k & keep it all, clams etc, under them & everyone is happy! Except my receding goniopora either a worm or to much light duno yet!

Why are you looking to cut back on the kelvin of the bulbs? Are you looking to get more growth out of your corals? You can keep clams under 20k, and personally, I think 20k's look better than 10k's.

I agree, I had 10k & switched to 20k & really like it, softer on the eye's more pleasent to look at.

sorry to say this but flower pot don't last or spead i had mine for a year

i was thinking the same thing today i turn off my 260 actinic and i doesn't even change the color of the tank with 20 k. i need more growth in the tank so i' m thinking of 10 k or 14 k
