yes it did live... i found out that it was my cleaner wrasse picking at it so i purchased one of those in tank refugiums from CPR and put it into there and now its healthier then ever.

Glad to hear you didn't lose your critter!! I found this thread very informative and I registered on the clams direct dot com web site.
I also have a crocea that's been in my tank for about 6-7 months now, and he's been doing great. It will be nice to have that resource available.
