T5 vs. PC

I have read in a few places on here that T5 is more intense lighting than PC is. So that leads me to this question,
Would it be better for me to go with 432 watts of T5 lighting(each bulb with its own reflector), or 520 watts of PC lighting?
thanks for the advice,
Adam

More intense does not imply more light. I'm just sayin'.
If you compare like bulbs T5 will outperform PC every time because of the shape of PC bulbs. IMO you would be better off with T5 if what you posted are your options.

I'm not a fan of PC lighting. The bulbs have to be changed out more often (around every 6 months to be effective) and just don't put out the same quality per watt IMO.

Okay so I am going to be retro-fitting some T5's and I was wondering how I would do the reflecting part. I was going to put 8 bulbs on my 100 gallon and custom the canopy and the lighting, the reflection is the only thing I am not sure about. Also as for equipment all I need is the ballast's (would 2 do the trick), and the end caps. Was going to do the single, that way I can fit more bulbs. I am also going to be putting some moonlighting in that have a range of 3' from left to right and I am going to put 2 of them in evenly spaced. I will get a drawing when I can, tahnks for your help.

A retrofit kit should include reflectors, endcaps, and ballasts.
If you have everything else and are just looking for reflectors, then look at the Aquactinics, or Icecap.
