Take pity on me.

I finally (think) I have a front page set up the way I want it. ... still very open to suggestions. As you can see, I'm having alignment issues...they have not been overlooked... I just can't get them out of there. I move one thing and create another problem elsewhere. I know I'm not using the proper method to try and place the contents of the page, but I'm a big ole noob.
The header is too far to the left. The white middle part needs a black divider above it.... and not as much white on the bottom. It extends too far down, but it's because of the tables I used. Any suggestions as to what would be the best way to go about this?

use tables. they seem to be the only thing that works when viewing pages on different size monitors.

It's just me testing placement. I was checking to see if I liked white text on black.
It's not a code issue...I'm just trying to figure out picture/text placement.

I think I may be using the tables incorrectly. The more I play with it, the more I mess everything up. I definately don't want a static tables that won't look the same on everyone's monitor. Should I be using % values or something instead of the number values I'm using on my tables. I know this isn't going to look "professional", but I don't want it to look stupid either. I'm willing to learn whatever is necessary.... sometimes all ya have to do is throw a term at me and I'll google it and teach myself.
Remember this is very very rough.

nice ode to GnR!
I used this video for a presentation in highschool.... the good ole 80s. I don't think my uptight teacher was very pleased.
There's different headers for different pages.

I took a couple minutes and cleaned up your code. PM me your email and I'll send the file back to you.
BTW, looks great. I'll talk you through a couple tricks on what I did.

I'm at work so I can't "test" it, but the file I downloaded looks PERFECT! I can't wait to get home and look at the code to see what you did.
Thank you!!!

Freaking Fracking alignment. I'm using tables but it seem to want to position my text in the center vertically. I can't find the code in making it do that. I'm sure it's a table property somewhere... but I've looked and looked.
I would like the text to be level with the top of the pic.
Please help!

Again I'm having a little problem. It's probably a very easy script insertion, but I'll be darned if I can get it. Actually, there's even a download and for some reason I can't ftp the needed files to make the script run.
Anyone wanna take a shot at it?
