Read and ask questions - find someone else who has a system to help
slow you down in the begining.
24. Looking to the future, what is your outlook on the reef keeping hobby as a whole?
I believe our hobby is safe and that in the future more and more of our
corals will be coming from frag swaps, clubs, and facilities raising thier
stock in house rather than wild harvested specimens.
25. If you had 3 wishes that could only be used with respect to the hobby of reef keeping, what would they be?
LMAO - #1 honesty in sales - no special lighting or photoshopping printed examples of corals for sale. #2 Dedicated books or websites where more upto date information on corals are available. Where lighting, feeding, and methods to increase survival are posted. Many scientific journals still list names as merely - yet to be desribed, or like Acropra sp., newly discovered, etc. Many of us here could tell them what has and hasn't worked in home aquaria. #3 I truely wish one could support a LFS that didn't have to ---- and pilage it's customer base. Yet I see there suppliers mis label livestock, send with shipping delays that kills entire load without crediting them, driving prices higher, with eager sales people who hopefully unwittingly sell items to people who will only kill them. I want an educated hobby in all aspects from harvst to keeping in home (yes I am still naive and a idealist).
