Well the Pepperment Shrimp are eating my ss star alive ... one leg only.. but getting closer and closer to the disk. Dawg gone it! $40.00 star v. $8.00 shrimp. BUT... the starfish needs a safe place to heal (lfs) and the shrimp would be near impossible to catch. Soooo... bye bye star.
btw ... lfs said ss stars eat mostly detritius (spell?).. not necc. pods. hmmm dunno

Perppermint shrimp are a pain. I added them to get rid of some aptasia and instead they ate my polyps. Then I tore my whole tank appart to get them out. Now the aptasias BACK!

Hmm.....peppermint shrimp are bad news? I have 10 of them recently added for cleanup purposes. If you keep plenty of food in tank will they leave polyps and soft corals alone?
