taking things from the ocean (florida)

i have friends from florida and i was talking about them overnighting fish, octopi, urchins and things to me.
what is needed to do this? im sure it isnt legal for anyone to just take things from the wild like this...just wondering not acting on it yet.

I have heard it is illegal to take live rock but I don't know about fish/inverts and such.

Don't try the octopi.
Way too smart of an animal to try to raise in an aquarium, and it will die.

Taking anything alive from the ocean is either completely illegal
( iverock) or requires a license or permit. Florida fish and game site has all the details . . .
