Tang in a 55 G

I was wondering if there were any types of Tangs that I could put in a 55. It would be sharing the tank with a false percula, a few chromis, royal gramma, and a lawnmower blenny. I don't want to be that guy with fish way too big for his tank so any advice would be great...thanks

a yellow tang might be ok for a while but will eventually need a bigger tank

I would suggest a beuatiful dwarf angel over putting a tang in a 55. The tang will eventually have to be moved out because all tangs will grow too large for a 55.

This tank is pretty fully stocked as is. If I were going to add ANY more fish it would be nothing bigger than a dwarf angel, goby, etc.

You could try a tomini kole tang, they don't get too large, 6-7", and are relatively easy to keep once you get them through quarantine and onto prepared foods.

The blue tang will quickly out grow your tank and you will have to upgrade or get rid of it eventually.

thanks for all of your help I see so many people that have overcrowded their tanks so I think I'll have to pass on the tang. Maybe a Yellow Pigmy Angel or a Sixline, I'll make sure to post some pics when I get it figured out. Thanks for helping with my tang dilemma. After I posted I found like 20 threads talking about people trying to put tangs, lionfish, angels, etc in their 55's.
