well they hit the nail, tho they wer off two degrees but know the nails bent some. if u have no idea on what i am saying is they got the gold rim tang right, they r closely related to powder blues which r notoriously hard to feed in the beginning, so it is understandable y they said that

Red sea purple tangs have lighter shade of purple, spots and more yellow (Fins). Othe rpurple tangs arte more a solid darker purple (yellow tails). If I am not mistaken.

Kevin, I hope you do not mind.
As you can see the blue ring around his eye, around the outside edges of the fins. This is a juvi Atlantic Blue Tang that has been in my 125 since 8 Aug. 2006. It schools with 2 yellows, a yellow eye kole and the desjardin tang.
It is said that ABT are schoolers. If they are kept alone and not in a school of tangs, they will die.

No, No, No. Can it be done, yes. Is it advised NO! More tangs have been lost in 40's, 55's and 75's than you can count. Sorry, I know it's not what you wanted to hear L&D

I would have to agree with hot, no tangs. They are very active swimmers, not fair to them.
Hey hot nice looking tank, how much flow do you have in it? What powerheads do you use?

I think a Yellow Tang can work out in a 75-gallon...Every single website I see except this one has a mininum of 50.People assume they are big fish due to the Xtra-Large Hawaiian Yellow Tangs
I know 50 is low for a tang but 75 can work for a Yellow AT LEAST...What would be the purpose of 75-galls anyway? To waste money?

i don't think i'm going to argue the point of size, most seem to recommend a tank to be more than five feet long. i would love to have a tang, i was just curious if there was a possible tang for a four foot tank.

anything is possible , i have a yellow tang in a 55 gallon right now for more than 8 months. he looks great but my plan was to upgrade in the near future. meaning my 125 gallon tank will be setup and running come around april 1. he will be put into the new tank in may sometime.
