my yellow tang is very skinny i can see his bladder and such somedays he looks white somedays hes very yellow he swims along with the other guys but doesnt seem to be eating at all he also has HLLE on his face. any help would be nice.
30 gallon ( i know too small upgrading to a 75 gal soon.)
1 yellow tang
2 Yellow tail damsels
1 Blue/Green chromis
1 Cleaner shrimp
3 Turbo Snails

Sorry! Nothing is going to help unless you can get him to eat! What do you feed?
Have you tried soaking the food in garlic?

if hes not eating that could be a reason but tangs do get this problom were you can see there bones and such and they loose all there wait i cant think of the damn of it right off the top of my head but. i do know if you can get him to eat try adding some vitamins in his food supply place some dry seaweed around your tank on food clamps. it may indice him to feed on it. i know a lot of ppl dont like using this but to help make him eat try to endice him with garlic. they should have some tyoe of addadtive you can soak the foods in at your lfs. it will also help boost is emunsystem and help push anything out if he dose have anything wrong with him.
but dry seaweed is a verry good sorce of vitamins in tangs they really need some type of seaweed in there diat.
yes that is a small tank and could be why he isent eating to. i have seen tangs jump clear out of the tank becouse of stress of a tank being to small and no room to swim.

but honestly in my opionion a 75 is to small for a yellow tang to full grown the min tank size for a yellow tang is 100g but i have one in my tank and its a 75g but i am selling him for the reason that he is almost 7 inch long and 5 inch from top to bottom verry beautiful fish but verry big to. so just make sure that when you get a fish to check what the requrments are for it i dident and got him and when i got home looked it up and sure a nough my tank is to small but i kept him let him grow hes healthly as a horse eats like a big but i gatta get rid of my big yellow beauty so.

yes i have a seaweed clip i usually put that in everyother day.
Other than that i use RDF frozen, mysis shrimp,brine shrimp, pellets, and flakes. i use zoe with the food once a week. thats it. Hes always like to swim around doesnt seem to mind the tank size.
