Well I was looking at a powder brown tang and it had no barbs on it "< " so i asked the LFS told me that it was a tank raised and they do that to them.
But there is nothing wrong with him. He is the best looking powder brown i have ever saw.

no tang is tank raised "yet" .. and ive seen a yellow tang without a tail that was perfectly fine. im not sure why these things happen, most people say its been changed by humans and some say its genetic mutation. id go with genetics tho.

they snip alot of tangs to reduce possibility of injury during handling/collection. I hear they'll grow back.

To my knowledge, there are no tank raised tangs - and I highly doubt if there were, that the powder brown would be one of them. I would be generally suspicious of their advice. :thinking:
