tang with weird stomach

I bought this yellow tang about 3 weeks ago. At the lfs he looked great, apparently they didn't have enough lighting. As soon as I got him in my tank I saw he had ick. It was too late so the whole tank has been on hypo for about 2 weeks. He looks much better and no one has signs of ick, but he has some weird formations on his belly. Does anyone know what this may be? Is there something I can do? he's eating a lot and moves around the tank normally... but I believe his poop is not normal, it's really big for a tang, I need to scoop it out everyother day.

That fish is suffering from severe emaciation and malnutrition. I would suggest a diet rich in quality sources of algae and some quality food either frozen, or maybe even fresh such as the recipe I have in the FAQ Thread at the top of this forum. Feed 3x a day adding algae sheets in tank for grazing in between meals. Add zoecon to meaty food.
Can you post some additional pictures of this fish, preferably frontal.

I've been giving him algae sheets (with the clip).. frozen food (the emerald entreé) and flake food or pellets(spectra) with spirulina... he eats everything. I've added the zoecon about once a week to the frozen cubes. If he's suffering from emaciation....is it normal for him to poop so much!? I'll check out the recipe though in the FAQS. thanx
oh about the pic I'll keep trying to take it so you may see the formations... need to adjust either the camera's or the tank's lighting.

yes its very normal for him to poop alot hes now getting the foods he needs i would feed him 3-4 times daily add garlic extreme to his foods also to help increase his imunity to other illnesses.what you have purchased is a prime example of improper diet given by lfs.the foods you have chosen all sound like the good foods he needs.just as in with human lots of ruffage(greens) help detoxify us by quick expultions(pooping alot lol) thats why they need to feed so often
