tangled anemone?

So I got this anemone for my birthday that was hosting two golden strip clown fish, so the person who surprised me with it brought over all three. The anemone is orange and has really long tentacles (when streteched like 6-8" long) the foot of the anemone and bottom side are very pretty, pink with little spots or something like that.
The issue is the clown fish, they wiggle so much that the tentacles are becoming completely tangeled to the point where they are a darkish purple gray at the base and the area of the anemone around the attached area has lost some of its pink, and no water was getting in the bottoms of the tentacles. So I used a non sharp tool and untangeled some of them for him...finally they untangeled and I kept the fish away for a bit to let him re-inflate.....
Once the fish got back near him the same thing, well now he is almost flat on his rock where the whole center of him (mouth area I guess) is exposed and me female clown just sits on him and wiggles. causing more tangled, he is not nearly as inflated as when I picked him up...
My tank.
80 degrees, 0 Ammonia, o trites, 0 trates. 8.0 ph, 1.023 salinity.
Lighting PC ( I know, I know please don't flame, it was a birthday gift and the LFS knows me and told them that the PC's will support the anemone while the new tank is being set up which will probably have T5's) He is on a rock 2/3 way up the tank right under the lights and the tank has good flow (to the point where I had to re-aim the power heads to avoid tangeling the anemone). I am upgrading from a 55 to a 240 I think but the tanks haven't arrived here yet.
Will he be able to recover from this? Does anyone have anyideas?
Thanks for the help

Tangled tenticles I dont think will be an issue. However, (you know about your lights already) which arent helping. BTW what kind of anem is it? And how big is it? Meaning its base in inches? Your clowns can kill it if they host too aggressivly which sounds like what is happening here. Small anemones often get harrased so much by aggresive clowns they die quickly.

So the clown fish could be stressing him? She is quite a large fish 3 inches or so I would say...I'm not sure of the exact base size, I would say about 2 inches in its current flat form, maybe a tad larger...
The anemone looks like the white one below,(pictures are not my originals, located on yahoo photos) it is exactly like the orange one shown but I can't see the base of that one to tell....What can I do to help this guy? I will be very updet if he dies before I can move him...I told them not to get me tank stuff for my birthday.....
Thanks

The anem should be moved or at least partioned off from the clown if you think its hosting to aggressivly. Typically clown species like maroons and cinnamons are very aggressive and its recomended that the anemone should be at least several times larger than the clown host to ensure a healthy relationship.

ok, I will try to figure out how to separate them in the tank I have no idea on that one? Man I hope they don't kill it before I figure this out.
...was very nice a few days ago...I think you might be right and the fish are too big...
Let me think....

If it is a 55 rectangle, a quick separator (and very temporary) is egg crate - sold as light diffusers at Home Depot, Lowes, etc.
