Tangs

Will a yellow tang and a naso tang get along in the same tank?
Thanks for the advise in advance.

Is this for the 40g? If so, no. The naso will get way to big and is a very very active fish...way to big, even when small. The yellow, if very small, may be OK for a pretty short period of time, but will need a bigger tank. In a large system, over 125g or so, I don't think they would have trouble together in theory.

No this is a 65 gal. but its the same footprint as the 40 gal. I'm looking for a macro algae eater that's reef safe.

Consider a Kole Tang, they are extremely efficient algae eaters and do not require such a large tank as other species. A 65 Gallon would be perfect for a Kole but a yellow or a Naso would not fair well long term.

Though very much depends on what kind of algae you are talking about.....Kole are quite good for some kinds (probably the best consistent bet, IMO, for the algae work) but some many tangs won't touch.
