an 1/8th inch? Solid measurments? doublecheck before getting worried but if it is just truley an 1/8th inch then wait and monitor it for any further flex.
June is almost here so no worries.

The bright side to this is when you sell it you can say it's a bowfront!

Reinforce it. Nylon tape around the top and bottom of the tank as well as in the center. It will distribute the weight around the structure and will hold out till you go.

Both of my tanks bow about a 1/4" and have from the begining. 30g and 55g. Been up and running w/out extra bracing for 2-3 years now. The tanks were not new and I have not idea how old they are. Got them out of a neighbor's back yard when he wasn't looking... heehee. J/K. He gave them to me when I noticed they had been sitting on his patio for over a year.

Any 3/16" thick glass on a longer length tank will flex. There are web sites that argue that glass is actually a liquid. Pretty interesting reading if you are really have nothing better to do (or you are fresh out of phone books).

I have a 110 gallon that is 72 inches long. It has two straps across the top and I have always had flex (or bowing) in between them. I guess that makes my tank a triple bow front, lol. I would not be concerend with a 29 flexing a bit.
