Tank Covers What do you use?

Of the people that don't have a canopy, what do you use to cover your tank so the fish don't jump out and still allows enough light to get in for the corals?
I was thinking about those plastic gutter guards that clip on the edge and go up about 6 inches.
My son found the old hippo tang stuck between the wall and the tank. Good thing he heard it flapping.
Thanks,
Tom

I use nothing. I have a canopy with MH. I removed the top of the canopy so if you look straight down into the tank, you see the lights and water, but from the from the front or sides you see the hood. This was really the only way I could use my existing canopy and not have hat issues with the MH.

Never mind a fish getting out, how about the added risk of things falling into the tank? Like maybe a mischievous cat?
Also, has anyone ever found that egg crate in black? The white is so conspicuous.

You can use a screen type material....The type used for screen doors that is 'coated' somehow..It is a very neutral color, flexible, and can be held in place quite easily without adding height or distraction or decreased airflow.

Yeah google Modern Plastics...linking might close this thread (??)...anyway they sell Black Eggcrate Styrene Lighting Panel.
You could also paint it black with Krylon Fusion.
