Tank cycle and stocking

Hey everyone,
I am getting ready to set up my 37 gallon tank in the office. It has a 130W PC light, canister filter, in line UV sterilizer, in line heater, and a protein skimmer. I will be setting up a 6 gallon Eclipse system at the same time for the QT.
I will have 60 pounds of live sand and 30 pounds of live rock. I am guessing the cycle should take about 3-4 weeks.
After the tank is cycled, I am going to wait a week and then add a fire shrimp and a pair of percula clowns.
3 weeks later, I am going to add a flame angel
3 weeks later, I am going to add a juvenile (2 inches) queen angel (she will be going to the 150 gallon when she gets bigger)
3 weeks later, I am going to add one more small fish
Then at about 6 months, I plan on adding a mandarin goby and an African red knob starfish (he will go to the 150 when he gets bigger also).
Water changes should be 3 gallons a week (approx. 10%)
Everything look ok?
Thanks as always!

TOO many fish in your stocking list!!!! That tank is too small to handle those fish, not to mention with two angels in there, they'll kill each other. That QT is too small to handle angels as well!!! Insufficient tank size for 100 lbs of live rock needed to sustain that mandarin!!! You need a different stocking list!! You could use the 37g as a QT tank though if you get the 150g. :happyfish

Yes, that is the idea, the 37 gallon will become the QT tank as soon as the 150 is mature enough. And the fish will be moved to the 150.
The stocking list is only 5 small fish. I was under the impression that you could have 2 angles of different genre (1 dwarf and 1 large) just not two of the same genre.

Perhaps in the larger tank, but I would not EVER try it in a small tank like the 37 gal. Active fish like angels, wrasses, tangs need lots of swimming room and lots of rock work to hide in-the smaller tanks are great for smaller, less active fish like gobies, blennies, the clowns are ok-some cardinals would also work. Why not just wait till your 150 is ready to go. Your small tank will be just as beautiful with lots of rockwork, some shrimp and just one or two fish swimming around for activity. With adequatelighting, you can add so much to the tank that Does NOT need swimming room
You certainly have lots to look forward to-You will find that most folks on this board opt to favor the fish-they are not expendable pieces of floxam (? sp) but live creatures that will live long healthy lives if we do everything we can to provide them with the best living quarters we can.
Do you already hae the 150?
and yes, the 6 gallon is too small for a quarantine tank.

I would agree that it is too many fish as well. I think you should just wait to get the queen when you get the 150, for sure. The 37 will not even provide a juvenile enough room.
Also, you are adding the flame way too soon. Angels need mature and established tanks. I would look more into adding a flame at the 4-6 month range.
The mandarin will also need more live rock than that as well.
