Tank cycle

My tank has been cycling for 14 days. Ammonia went way up and it’s starting to drop. It’s at .25, maybe a little less now. Nitrates are obviously high at this point. Should I do a water change before the ammonia hits 0? Or wait?

My ammonia has dropped to 0, my nitrites are up to 5 and nitrates are at 40-80

you can choose yourself, worst case scenario you go one extra week

No water change during the cycle. You want all of it to spike

I agree no water change as you want those bacteria to keep building, I never do water changes as it is too much work and costs to much money.
The only water change I perform is in the isolation tank...
